By-elections coming to Behrang and Changkat Jering?
« on: February 01, 2009, 11:30:11 PM »
Looks like more development projects coming to these two DUNs... hehehe. Will there be another 'cabutan bertuah' way of awarding instant projects like KT buy-election?   Hhmmmm.

Excerpt from malaysiakini:

Quote
Perak state assembly speaker V Sivakumar said that he had received letters of resignation from both Behrang assemblyperson Jamaluddin Mat Radzi and Changkat Jering assemblyperson Osman Jailu.

He said that he received their letters at about 5.45pm at his house.

"They have stepped down as state assemblypersons with immediate effect," he said in a statement today.

With that, Sivakumar declared both the Behrang and Chankat Jering state seats vacant, necessitating two by-elections soon.

He added that he will be informing the Election Commission tomorrow about the vacancy. The by-elections for the two state seats will have to be held within 60 days.

Interestingly....

Quote
Jamaluddin: I have not resigned

However the announcement of the resignations by the speaker is disputed, at least by Jamaluddin, who broke his five-day silence late this evening.

According to a report in The Star Online, Jamaluddin is reported as denying that he had resigned as a state representative. He also challenged the validity of his resignation letter.

"This is an undated letter that I and six other PKR assemblymen were made to sign in March last year," he said.

Something brewing?

Something brewing?

Something brewing? .... Carlsberg's special brew kot!  :D

Hehehe!!! Tapi aku rasa lepas ni akan ada perang pindah camp politik besar-besaran ... sape yg dpt bagi the best offer to politicians who are disgruntled with their leadership atau yg nak naik cepat, parti tu lah yg diaorg ni akan berikrar utk bertaat setia ;D So for these guys (tak kira lah BN ke PR ke) ... who cares about ideology and principals? Money matters most!

All's fair in love and war bro!

Ada seorg sahabat aku bilang ... "Pakatan drew first blood with Nasarudin and Umno now seems to be getting back at them. They can’t complain. They started it first,”

Another report had this to say:

... Anwar Ibrahim’s triumph in snaring Nasarudin has now made the electoral pact lose its “moral standing” and unable to complain about Umno’s move to entice Pakatan Rakyat state legislators wary of their future ...

... So last week's coup of getting Umno’s Bota assemblyman Datuk Nasarudin Hashim to defect could turn out to be a tactical mistake as it has ironically threatened the very survival of the Pakatan Rakyat government in Perak if this weekend’s events are anything to go by....

Pakatan pulak jawab cam ni:

... Pakatan Rakyat have claimed that two state councillors, Jamaluddin Radzi of Behrang and Changkat Jering’s Osman Jailu are widely speculated to be joining Umno in a bid to get off corruption charges to be heard this month. Senior PKR officials also said Umno wants to embarrass Anwar for engineering Nasarudin’s defection...

So kalau seorg tu buta alam, memang akan pening ... yg mana satu betul?  ;)

Apa-apa pun biarlah diaorg bermain politik, kita main golf   ;) ... Come election time kita pilih parti mana satu yg kurang temberang sbb sebenarnya semua memang kaki temberang pun, cuma sejauh mana aja diaorg nak temberang kita semua... so long as they don't get caught with their pants down dah, voters zaman skrg ni taklah semuanya buta alam cam time dahulu kala ..  ;D ;D ;D

Berikut adalah soalan tambahan untuk mata pelajaran "Politik huyun hayang di Perak". Anda diberikan masa selama dua minit untuk menjawab soalan tersebut.

A. Did the two PKR men quit or were they sacked?
B. Or was it all a lie?
C. If they did in fact resign, are their resignations legal and Constitutional?
D. If the resignations are deemed unconstituitional, then was Wan Azizah's resignation lawful?

Sekiranya anda pening kepala dengan soalan ini, anda dimaklumkan bahawa semua PANADOL ACTIFAST DAH HABIS DI JUAL DI IPOH! Anda dinasihatkan untuk telan aja pil Chi Kii Tak On!!! ataupun bantai je Tonik Cap Gajah!

Anda juga dibenarkan untuk membuat rujukan sebelum menjawab soalan yang tertera di atas. Berikut adalah beberapa laman web untuk maksud tersebut.

Two PKR Assemblymen In Perak Resign
Two PKR State Assemblymen Deny Quitting

Hentam saja lah Labu!!!

Salam hormat!
 ;D ;D ;D

This is a good read. Got it somewhere from the internet  ........

The 12th elections are over, the results are clear and everyone seemed to have accepted the outcome except some scum. We also had a transition plan outlined after much vacillation. Yet, some people do not seem to be satisfied, accepting and moving on. Thus, we are stuck in a quagmire of our own making as a bunch of immature schoolboys fight for the spoils. The result is endless politicking, devious machinations and immoral chicanery as each side seeem to have conveniently forgotten that they were put there to steer the ship of state away, as best they can, from the rocks of an economic wreckage.

Many people, I have spoken to are totally disillusioned. They expected more maturity, more constructivism, more assured leadership, more magniminity etc. They yearn for some shelter from these infernal economic climes. The poor, the destitute, the disenfranchised all expect and hope for some succour. Instead, they get some suckers bartering the people's trust to the highest bidder and so-called civil society advocates and democracy warriors out to shag the Constitution and the voters for their own selfish ends. And the ruling regime led by a soporific is no better. So what gives when the basic foundations that underpin a democratic state is all collapsing before our very eyes.

If one reads history, economic malaise and political decay gave rise to the Hitlers, Mussolinis and Tojos of yesteryears. Fast forward post WW2, the same formula was repeated in the African states, South America, South Korea, Phillipines, Indonesia, Thailand, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc. All these are sad indictments of the democratic model. Granted some of these states failed in the military experiment, but strongman rule did give stability to Indonesia (under Suharto), Pakistan (under Zia Ul-haQ) and return normalcy to Bangladesh, Brazil, Thailand and prosperity to South Korea UNTIL the military retreated back to the barracks and them democratic jesters returned to the scene.

Democracy is essentially a self-aborting model. It cannot survive simply because its inner contradictions are primed to simply overwhelm its core lynch pin once the suitable conditions manifest themselves. Its very existence is dependent on ancillary variables like an educated and informed policy, egalitarian accessibility to information, commonality of purpose and interests and a whole gamut of both mutually supportive and inherently contradictory factors. In fact, the democratic ideal has never been manifested in any nation, even in the so-called enlightened and progressive west.

Thus is it deemed unwise to call for the abolition of a system that has brought so much misery to mankind. Food for thought, anyone?

By-elections or "Buy"-elections?  ;) .........Yelah! "buy"-election would be the right choice of word.  ;D

BN Offering RM25 Million To Buy Opposition Assemblymen?

Hehehe!!! .. Now I'm wondering what was Anwar's offer to Nasarudin pulak? Don't tell me takde?

Anyway! This is a comment posted at another forum. Be it BN or PR, I think org semua dah fed-up kot! BN is in perpertual self-denial and PR is getting cockier by the day from over confidence!!!! ........

.... " I don't know what is in the mind of the BN and PR leaders...

We are heading towards a recession said to be worst then 1998 and all they are interested in is party hopping!! Please look at the bigger picture you narrow minded t**t.

Political instability = economical instability = poorer Malaysians.

That just shows the mentality of us Malaysians... What a shame! " ...........

Lompat si katak lompat ... Looks like the situation in Perak ada skit kelam kabut.

NST Online reported that Barisan Nasional Perak has secured the majority of state seats to form a new Perak Government after four PR assemblymen left their respective parties and pledged allegiance to the BN.

The four wakil rakyat -- Nasarudin Hashim (PKR-Bota), Hee Yit Foong (DAP-Jelapang) and self-proclaimed Bebas reps Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi (Behrang) and Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu (Changkat Jering) -- had headed for the DPM's office in Putrajaya..

Perak Menteri Besar Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, meanwhile, announced an immediate dissolution of the state assembly.

More updates on Perak ....

The Sultan of Perak did not consent to dissolution of State Assembly and asked Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin to resign as Menteri Besar of Perak and if he failed to do so, the post is considered vacant. The Sultan also asked for the resignation of the state exco.

As at 6.25pm, Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi left Istana Kinta after an audience with the Sultan.

The police and FRU have taken control of state secretariat building. State police chief Datuk Zulkifli Abdullah however said security is under control.

Earlier, according to Star alert, Pakatan Rakyat was planning a mammoth gathering at the MB's residence. Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim will be there.

Could this be another one?

Many are looking at the events that has been developing in Perak with keen interest.

Why? ..... Well! Some are saying that Perak has triggered the country's political landscape ever since the time of colonial British. So will this be another one?

Hmmmm!!!! Entah! ..... Aku kena baca balik buku sejarah aku lah macam ni ...

Saya cadangkan agar BN menjemput semua ADUN2 PR join kerajaan baru Perak ni... barulah everybody serve the rakyat. Tak payah nak bikin rusuhan kat jalanraya ala HINDRAF, tak perlu nak marah2 Sultan, sbb takut nanti kena caj derhakalah pulak ngn Sultan...

Dan kepada YB Dato' Seri Nizar, jangan ikut sgt cakap Bro Anwar, nanti makan diri. Apa kata semua ADUN PAS join kerajaan baru Perak. Lagi best, barulah Melayu bersatu ..... Bersatu Teguh, Bercerai Roboh!!!   ;)

Jadi langkah yg pertama yg slalu diaorg buat .. bikin huru hara ... byklah contoh!
