Distance marker is center of green or front of the green?

Salam,

Saya ingin bertanya soalan basic?. Confuse sket sebab jawapan diterima berbeza2.

Distance marker kat fairway tu, is it distance to front of green or center of green?. Ada yg kata front ada yg kata center?. Kalau la front of green, jika kita tinggal 100m tapi green to panjang 30-40m dan pin kat belakang, jauh beza tu. Dari pitching kena guna 9 atau 8 iron. Kalau center pun, kalau pin tu center, maknanye if pin kat depan, will be less than 100m. Yg ni aku confuse sket sbb kadang over, kadang2 short.

Nak tanya pendapat yg arif, maklum la saya beginner  .

So far, saya tak pernah jumpa lagi course yang marking dia to the front green. Standard is to center of the green.

Memang kita susah nak gauge the actual distance sebab tak semua golfer tau the size of the green unless you play that course often...

Pasal over or short, banyak factor jugak..bukan aje sebab kita tak dapat actual distance from ball position to the pin/green, tapi swing factor pun ada...ada hari kita hit little fat shot, and someday with thin shot or perfect shot...as a result, kadang2 sampai, kadang2 tak...

Believe it or not, the position of the ball on fairway/before the green affect the distance..for example, if the ball is lying on uphill fairway, the position of the club face tend to be open up, so sometimes PW may end up become AW...or if you close the club face, PW may become 9 iron (again, depends on how you hit the ball)...

just no cents opinion...

Saya agree dgn Bro Ahman,Memang standard distance is to the center of green.Klu pin merah atau biru kita kena buat adjustment sendiri.
Samaada short atau over it depend on our swing.

Normally, I selalu check scorecard before start playing...especially the yardage and also pin placement...

Certain course, yardage di ukur guna Yards and some are using Meters..so, amat penting untuk club selection...pastu, tak semua course pakai same color of flag to indicate the location of pin...

Some are using, RED for front, WHITE as center and BLUE for BACK...tapi ada jugak guna different colors...biasanya flag color indication ada stated kat scorecard...


Ada jugak Pin Placement yang kurang kita ambil kira, especially bila green design tu agak pelik...ada yang memanjang ke tepi, ke belakang dan macam2...so, tak semua calculation kena +/- to estimate the distance..

apa2 pun, belasah aje...hehehehe...happy golfing!

Jawapan ialah center.. tengah2.. pastu kena buat adjustment pin tu kat depan atau belakang... green tu laju ke tak..  nak back spin ke nak roll.. green tu ada bonggol, senget ke tak.. mana nak letak.. semua depend pada swing dan kayu pemain itu...

standard kite ialah janji on jerr.. betullah apa bro Raj kata..
