I had actually requested a quotation from Damai Laut for a family day package during the Matta Fair last Saturday.

They quoted me 2D1N package incl. 1 Breakfast/1 Lunch/ 1 Dinner at their Resort Deluxe Garden View room (min 20 pax) :-

Weekday : RM250 per pax (twin-share)
Weekend : RM275 per pax (twin-share)

Golfing rate (incl 18 holes green fee and buggy fee) :

Weekday : RM130 per pax
Weekend : RM180 per pax

So you guys decide lah...I am not interested in this package rate

wahhh....so expensive one arr? kalau weekend play and stay, 275+180=485. Plus collateral damages, we will be looking at more than RM500.00!! I also shaking in my sarong lah like this

I was so shocked to receive this quotation this morning emailed by their Senior Sales Manager to me.  Obviously the Sales person didn't do their home work.  I remembered the play and stay package was RM330 per pax only as shown on their website.

Perhaps I should write in for another quotation....this time we exclude having dinner and lunch there....only golf and room accommodation plus 2 breakfast.

Will update u guys again on the cost when I ring up the club tomorrow.

Michelle, you are rite. Whoever quoted you for the Damai Laut is not correct. They have a golf package of stay and play (2 x 18 holes) at below RM300. I was trying to get this package as our get2gether prize but apparently they sell the package at the resort only. At the MATTA fair also, Swiss Garden was not selling this package. I will find out when I go back for Raya.
As for Teluk Rubiah, the last time I visited it is more suitable for playing paintball. But again I will check it out.

Since we have done PD and Maran, which is about 2 - 2 1/2 hour drive from KL, I would like to suggest the 9th Get2Gether be held in Ipoh atau sekawasan dengannya. If Ipoh is somewhat equal distance from KL and Penang, then the Klang Valley gangs and the Northen chapter can get acquinted.

Any comment?

I'm OK with any venue so long as its convenient to the other Kakis here. Cost should also be a consideration. As for the dates, may I suggest either 10th or 17th. October. I won't be around on the 24th.October onwards.

I'm also planning to organise a Pro-Am tournament and it might be held on a weekday sometime between 19th - 23rd October, but its still a tentative date. Again the sponsors will be UMW Pennzoil but this time they will be promoting their newly launched brand, i.e Blue.Sky, also a lub oil but targeting market segments similar to brands such as Hi-Rev etc.  So the tournament would most probably be named "Blue.Sky Golf Invitational" .... I've manged to get 10 pros to participate in this event so far. Anyway! Will update you guys and start a different thread on this once I get things finalised.

Not that grand lah Pak Ngah!!! Starting it small first ... It's always better to do it this way, buat benda dlm kemampuan  ... and yg penting benda ni jadi ... Rather than planning big tapi tak menjadi langsung ... But hopefully it'll get bigger over time ....  and I hope to organise it once every 2 months...
