Golf Course Name: Cengkareng Golf Club
Locaction: 15 minutes from Soekarno Airport
Club House:
Very well maintained. They are using smartcard for all the activities in that club, from registration until you check-out. You do not need to carry cash except for caddy's tip.
Friendly staff and very 'eye-catchy' environment...you know la...
Course:
Very well maintained as well. This course is a walking-course. 18 holes. Almost flat course but has few challenging fairways to test your 'straightness' of your driver or wood from the tee box.
This course is considered as a friendly course, but at the same time requires you to manage the course instead of 'attacking'. Those who drive long, can do 2-ON for 2 Par 5s. But again, winds and guarded green with water hazards and bunkers may make you think many many times.
Another good thing or something that you hardly or never found on other golf courses is HUT. This club provides more HUTS and also you can get Cold Towel everytime you stop at the HUT. It helps you to cool down especially if you are having a bad day...hehehehhe...
Green:
Consider fast but not too fast. It was set between 9-10 and all greens are more or less have consistence speed as stated.
Since the course is almost flat, the challenge is always at the Green...Trust your caddy, else you will end-up with 3-4 putts.
Bunker:
Almost soft bunker, but it will a bit 'rough' if after rains, but you can hit it just like the way how you see Pros did on TV...hehehehehhe..result belakang kira...Gaya tu penting...
Fairway:
Bermuda grass if I'm not mistaken...you also can do what Pros do on TV...Divot!!! Again, result belakang kira...hehehehe...
Rate:
Playing on weekdays will cost you around 500K Rph(inclusive of caddy fee). But weekend, will cost you double or more.
Note:
It would be good to play this course once you landed in Jakarta (before you check-in at the hotel), or on the way back to KL before your departure since it is nearby the airport...
Those who have played here may add more....sorry I do not have photos...
(the photos are all rated 18SX)..hahahahha
Cheers!
