The Malaysia Film Festival (FFM) is the highlight of the Malaysian film industry. This festival will be the 24th in the series, and GAFIM (Gabungan Persatuan Karyawan Filem Malaysia), has been given the responsibility in organizing the prestigious “FFM24” (The 24th Malaysian Film Festival) this year.
FFM24 will be held from 16th July to 19th November 2011.
The objective of this festival is to celebrate the success of industry practitioners and to stimulate and to enhance further the standards of our local film industry. By encouraging film production of highest quality, it is hoped that more Malaysians, especially the younger generation, the professionals and the educated, will be attracted to the cinemas and motivated to view locally produced films.
To create awareness among the general public, FFM24 has lined up several charitable events, and amongst them (and for the very first time) is “FFM24 Charity Golf 2011” event. Beneficiaries of these events will be selected charity homes such as “Hope for Children” and “Autism Malaysia.
