Interesting golf event for interesting people

Hey Billy,

I would recommend that we play at Monterez ... probably on a Monday as some of us Members could assist with bringing down the green fees for those non members. In addition to this the green fees are amongst the least expensive in this area. The course is also quite friendly as we have no caddies to distract the golfer as such the golfer will be 'fully focused'.

The format you are suggesting will be the 'Scramble' format where in a scramble, each player tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shots from that spot. The best of the second shots is determined, then all play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed. This would consist of either teams of 2 or 4 per flight.

If you break the total group into 2 teams then each flight would consist of 2 players from one team. You can restrict the teams to 4 main clubs and 2 compulsory clubs (putter and driver). The individual pairing or team can decide their own club selection.

We had organized a similar game amongst our company and it was fun coz we had some teams using the driver for their secong shot on a par 5.

thanks Sutha for the good feedback, however i am suggesting the mode of play is 5 club including putter and it is an individual event. it is not a team event hence 'texas scramble' mode is not being play.

reason a 5 clubs game can never b a team event, simple, if you were to be my partner, i need you to carry Driver, 5,6,7,8 iron.. and i will bring 9,p,s,g n putter... so now we got the whole set with us... team event we can help each other.... so i dont rekon that bro...

im targeting a different game of fun bro...

When we played the team was not allowed to share clubs, we played the stroke with the clubs we had chosen. Anyway eagerly looking  forward to the 'format' you are suggesting ... so that I can practice  with those clubs ... LOL

Great idea, interesting proposition. Unfortunately, I won't be able to join. I will give it a miss. 5 clubs only? Die wo! even with 14 clubs, sometimes 15 (ooops!) or even 16 (oooooops! I did it again) I never broke 100; kalau 5 clubs? I would get 100 by the 15th or 16th hole....
