Salam fellow KakiGolfers, especially to those of you who will be participating in this coming Blue.Sky Golf Challenge.
I'll get straight to the point ...
We may need to scrap the pro-am format as we may not be having the required number of "pros" to take part in this coming tournament. I was only made aware of this just now when I wanted to finalize and get a confirmation on the list of pros who will be playing in the tournament. This complication came up when quite a few of them would only agree to participate in the event only if certain requests made by them are met. To be honest, my gut instinct tells me that this was forthcoming.
Anyway! Maybe their motivation to inform me of this crucial news at the 12th hour after plans and arrangements have been made, is a strategy to get me to agree .... I really dunno and I do not want to speculate BUT what I do know is that any changes in terms or conditions means further delays as I would need to go back to the sponsors for their approval. I'm pretty sure, the sponsors being a corporate entity would have certain procedural requirements that needs to be fulfilled especially when you're requesting for increased budgets... Hence, this means further delays.
However, having said this, I would like to personally thank IrwanMonterez from the Australian Golf Academy (AGA). He has given us his commitment that all the "pros" under AGA would still be committed to take part as agreed. His support is very much appreciated but still, without the required numbers, it be impossible to have a Pro-Am tournament format.
It is here that I humbly seek all of your support and that we should proceed with the golfing tournament as scheduled, but not as a Pro-Am event as planned.
Regards,
Kamal aka FeelGood
